Brightwater Environmental is developing the use of the advanced oxidation potential in hydrodynamic cavitation to remediate contaminated waters on a large scale in concert with standard water treatment technologies to offer a permittable for discharge water quality. Cavitation can remove "Total Organic Carbons"

Total organic carbon (TOC) is frequently increased to undesirable amounts, by the interaction of natural organic matter (NOM) and DBPs. Therefore, it is mandatory to remove TOCs from surface waters, to achieve good water quality.
